MF1010 ROPS

I have a MF1010 4WD Hydro. The tractor is kinda beat up looking-the rops was cut off, probably rolled once and bent. One problem I have is that it has chains to stabilize the side to side lower links and they attach to the tractor(weld to whats left of the rops) at a point that higher than pivot point of the links(they loosen up when raised). I can't figure out if replacing the rops will provide the proper mounting points or if there is something else missing for them to mount to. Anyone with a MF1010 out there mind taking a look for me?
